Chris Port Blog #64. Marty's Parables [1]. Musical Dinosaurs

© Chris Port, 2010

A small mammal scampered up to a lumbering Webbersaurus. “You might want to consider becoming small and quick” said he. “Don’t be so unpopulist” said the terrible lizard. “My kind have ruled the world longer than your tail. Can you not see that I make the very earth tremble underfoot? And what are you beneath my feet?” “True, very true” said the quickly evolving mammal. “But have you looked at the sky recently?” And indeed, there was a curious firey shape looming larger as they whistled in the sudden dark. And the rest, as they say, is history. Moral? If you want to get ahead in musicals, don’t ask the dinosaurs. Ask Hollywood. “Nobody knows anything” as they say.
